Post [HH Nations Cup] - How the tournament will work
Howya doing, me and bomaster discussed a few things today and came up with how I will run the tournament. If anyone has any issues regarding how it will be run or comments/suggestions please dont hesitate to reply on this topic. The suggestions will be taken into account if they are valid.

Right the plan for the tournament is to take the teams and split them into groups. Currently we have 14 teams so we will be making 3 groups. Two with 5 and one with four. So for example within this group every team will play all the teams in the group over a four week period. I will be organising the matches, one per week for each team. If the teams are available at a point and wish to play their match before it is scheduled to play, they are welcome to do it. As long as the rules are followed and the match score recorded and sent to me, this will increase the speed of the tournament.

Each match between the teams will consist of 15 arena style games. Each match must be screenshotted in case of any disputes. This can be done by both captains. When messaging me the results please include the score and list the players who took part in the match. This is to confirm the use of ringers which I will discuss in the next paragraph. Screenshots must be sent to me along with the scores of the matches.

Ringers - Due to feedback about the old system I have decided on the system people are recommending. Teams will be allowed one ringer of their choice. The choice must be of similiar skill to the player that will be missing and must be agreed on by the opposing team. If the opposing team agrees with the ringer then the match may go ahead.

Back to the groups. When all the matches have been completed, the top two teams from each group will go through to the quarter finals. They will then play against one another to get to the semi finals. That will leave us with three teams in the semi finals. To rectify this we will take the two teams with the most points that did not make it through to the quarters and play them off. The team that win this match will go through to the semi finals. This gives four teams for the semis and will produce a winner by the end. The losing teams who do not go through to the final rounds will be organised into matches to finalise positions.

When i create the match fixures I will message them out to everyone. If a match is not completed by the due date I will not accept the result posted to me. Therefore this match will not go ahead and seriously compramise the chances of the teams in question going through to the final stages. I will only accept special cases where the matches could not be played. Any disputes about matches not being played must be brought to me immediately. But please make an effort to get the matches completed. It doesnt take long.

Hello,

I've been made a captain, but I dont know for what country... I assume Wales because I couldn't see any other captains who listed Wales as an origin. Let me know for sure and I'll start rounding up the troops.

Is 15 not a bit much or would that last like 30-40 minutes?

Let's not start an open critique of the game format please. It is what it is. If you have any concerns about the format, please speak to crakI via PM or Steam, otherwise the valuable and important message that's on here will be lost in debate.

Cheers, 3F.

Sorry to contradict you 3F but from the OP it looks like Crack is welcoming feedback...

fair point by both of you, however i do appreciate furies remarks, it does prevent the topic from becoming

'is fifteen games too much'
'no'
'but is it'
'no'
etc etc... im sure you get what i mean.

With regards to answering Mj-healy. Most 6v6 matches will run over two maps half an hour for each map. So your talking an hour. Now really and truly most arena games only last the maximum of 4-5 mins if that and with it being 4v4 it shouldnt last any longer then this. So taking the maximum of five minutes into account, your talking 75 mins for the whole match, but I dont think it would really go on that long to be honest.
