| Post subject: | [HH Nations Cup2] - Rules and Updates |
Well folks, as we near the start of HH nations cup 2, there are a few rules to be added to the last set of rules. Therefore decided to repost this topic. I am going on a short break on Thursday till the following Tuesday with my family. I am also in work Tuesday and Wednesday night this week as well as being in college till 5 each day. Therefore I do not believe the tournament will begin before I leave on Thursday. Apologies for the timing but I cant help this. Updates: -The things to sort topic has been concluded by me. These changes will take affect and some things will be factored below. -There are 14 full teams at the moment unless this changes from now till the tournament start. This will mean there is 2 groups of 3 and 2 groups of 4. Each team will play the other teams in the group, the winner of the group then goes to the final. I realize this means that some teams will only play 2 games,I have some ideas for changing this to 3 per team but people have called my ideas complicated (as always) so I am leaving it at that for the time being unless some people can suggest an alternative route. -Group stage matches will be changed to 19 games per match. The groups will be judged on wins. If there is a tie between teams we will look an overall scoring. The amount of games in the finals will increase. The Rules The ruleset we will be following is the Highlander rules for 4v4 arena. 1 - There will be a class limit of 1 for every team, engineers and medics will not be allowed. Basically meaning each team must choose one of each from Heavy, Sniper, Soldier, Demo, Pyro, Spy and Scout. Any breach of this rule will lead to immediate forfeit of the match losing all games regardless of score, so make sure it doesnt happen. 2 - Ringers. As discussed in a recent topic the rules for ringers will change. Ringers should be kept to a minimum however they are needed. Teams of 4 are allowed use 1 ringer. Teams of 5 are not allowed to use ringers. However, if a team of 5 states to the opposing team that they only have 4 players for the match, at least 2 hours before the match is due to begin. They are then allowed to use 1 ringer if they need it. 3 - Related to the above. If a player drops during the game or their ping is extremely high to the extent that it is affecting the other teams play, the 'pause' function must be used by a leader. This is done by typing pause into the console and must only be done by a leader to prevent confusion. Ten minutes must be given for the player to return to the match. If the player has not returned, the team must find a ringer to replace this player. However a ringer may only be used to replace this player if the team is not already using a ringer. If a ringer is already in place on this team, then the team must play on with 3 after the ten minutes have passed. Please contact me if you need further information on this function. 4 - It goes without saying cheating is against the rules, anyone caught cheating in anyway will be immediately kicked out of the tournament 5 - Obviously teams may wish to use the ventrilo server to communicate during matches. However respect the rules of ventrilo and when joining to start a match switch to an empty channel where the whole team can stay for the match. Do not sit in the lobby. 6 - All match scores must be screenshotted at the end and pm'd to me so I can record the score 7 - Any issues regarding the matches, events in matches or problems must be proved by screenshots. I cannot entertain people that have no proof. If a problem occurs screenshot the events that led to this problem and pm them to me. I can then deal with the problem effectively. Anything that breaks the rules above must be screenshotted and sent to me. 8 - Co-operation and communication with your team and team leader is vital to the tournament running. If a player is found to be un-cooperative or does not show up to matches then the team leader can bring this case to me and I will deal with it. One 'no show' without valid reason results in a ban from the tournament if the team leader sees fit. These situtations will be judged by a case to case basis but it will be acted upon to ensure smooth running of the tournament. 9 - Unlocks. As discussed the use of the 'sandman' is banned in this tournament. It is up to the team leaders to make a decision on using the dead ringer. If one team leader does not wish to use the dead ringer then it is not to be used. Please co-operate with other team leaders and come to a fair decision. All other unlocks are ok to use. I may need to post further updates or rules to this thread so please keep an eye on it. Cheers Crak |

Ehh To respond to your question KB I dont honestly know. As i mentioned I am away on holidays and busy as fuck over the next three days. If i manage to get things going by tonight then all will be well. Otherwise it will be left till next Wednesday. I am debating on whether to start the tournament and then go away for the four days because I wont be here to admin and sort any teething problems. |

Well Crakiboy just say start matches from next week, with a thread for booking the server (guess hh5?) and let people start getting on with it, least it gives them a chance to get team practice in... So in other words, pick a map, say a date and lets get going! |
