Offense: Heavy Weapons guy. Defense: Heavy Weapons guy. Flag Running: Heavy Weapons guy. Sniping: Heavy Weapons guy. Sneaking... Hmm, let me think: Heavy Weapons guy!
I'm very much in tune with the minigun. I use the force to guide it's bullets. I'm so precise, I can use a minigun to pick a fly off the wall. In fact, I use a minigun to brush my teeth in the morning. I even use a minigun to operate my computer at work, of to sculpt ice with. My methods are pretty uniform. If all your enemies are dead... Whose to stop you from doing what needs to be done? TF2 is much simpler that way. I never understand what all this strategy fuss is about...
I've played several games with deep elements of strategy, quite pro-like. In Team Fortress II, my favourite strategy is: "Everyone grab a medic and get behind me!".
Last time I played an organised match in TF2, I had Jason as a buddy. We cleaned out the opposition. I think I had a 60 - 2 score, in the end. You may think, he's only in it for the killing. But I'd like to remind you of my personal motto: "If all your enemies are dead... Whose to stop you from doing what needs to be done?", Jason and I brought home the intel 3 or 4 times in a row.
If you need a blunt tool for slaughterhouse tactics, I'm probably a good pick. ^^
Offense: Medic, Spy, Heavy, occasionally Scout and pyro. Defense: Medic, Heavy, ocasionally sniper on dustbowl.
Can play any of this classes to a resonable standard although im still practicing as Scout and Spy. Medic is the only class i can play any where near a high standard though and my other classes are hit and miss particulally as Heavy one day ill mow down the whole enemy team the next ill be fireing blanks so it would seem.

Re: Team signups - offence or defence
For me, I'd say: Offense: Medic, Pyro, Heavy Defense: Medic, Heavy, Demoman.
I realise that's only 4 classes, and I'm more than happy to get what I'm given, but those are the ones I'd most comfortable with. I guess it's because I'm not very good at aiming at stuff, so hiding behind a heavy/pyro as a medic suits me well.
I think I have my mis-timed ubers fixed as well.
I'm getting a bit better at playing scout too, but sniper and spy - forget it. Utterly, utterly awful.
