Well its just the opposite, mate. Its just for the non-competitive tf2 community. If you have had div5 or above comp experience you are NOT eligible. So this is definitely not members only and certainly not competitive members only. Great initiative to get some new blood flowin in hunting for medals.
Why do you hate the letter "i" so much?!? D:
But yes, hope some more regs and other people that are completely new to organized play are going to sign up. It's a lot of fun- especially highlander is probably very well suited as a starting point seeing how it's a more forgiving and larger scale game-mode. Don't be hesitant, you're missing out!

hmm.. I'm considering it. I've always wanted to play tf2 a bit more competitively but never had the desire to get a team and do scrims/mixes for 6 hours a day like i did back on a unnamed modern warfare game.
Also afraid my skill wouldn't be high enough and you'd just all be shouting at me for sucking
Highly doubt anyone's gonna yell at you for sucking. Also, think about it this way, highlander is like a pub with 18 players. Sure, you won't be able to switch class if it's not going too well for you but that's where teamplay has to come in. Let's assume you can't hit a thing (a predicament I am all too familiar with), as long as you make good calls regarding enemy positions and you try to protect the medic/move on with your team to capture the next point you are being useful (even being a mere meatshield is underrated)!
Not trying to talk you into it necessarily, but I think "outsiders" might take comp too serious in general when it's not really called for. Just, if you participate, have fun or I will send The Horribly Slow Murderer with the Extremely Inefficient Weapon 'round your house, you wouldn't want that, would you?
Class depends. If you find a better heavy or Pyro i'm happy with demo or solly as well. I could do medicing too, but there are probably better choices than me around, as pretty much everything depends on the medic

Re: ETF2L Highlander Tournament Sign-Ups
gonna wait for a few more signup's, then me and bo will have a look at who will play what, hopefully we should be ready for sum practice matches in a week or so
there are currently 6 spots left
i'll update the first post with the names of the players when we get a few more
It's wise to pick a certain 'play' night on wich you can practise/have matches, so people who sign up know their availability on the particular nights. This will ensure the people signing up being available. In's unlucky if someone can't on the night you pick, but with a group of 9 players it's essential to have structure in appointments.

Re: ETF2L Highlander Tournament Sign-Ups
dont u worry mate, after the cafuffle of hh3's fixtures, i have decided to do exactly that, once we have a team almost ready, i will make a steam group and set up events so everyone can always check what nights they will be needed
it also seems that i will be able to play, but only as a ringer and i have to play off-class, so at least we know that can be done as an absolute last resort (then again, i could always just log into little baller's account and they would be none the wiser )
