Apologies for not posting sooner, I have been very busy at work for the last few weeks, and our monitor breaking also hasn't helped

Just want to clarify a couple of things Sam stated in his earlier post:

Due to my boss being away for a couple of weeks and the girl I work with hardly ever turning up, I'm not at all sure that I can organise the Highlander team as it would need to be. Therefore I think it would be best if I withdrew myself from the leadership

It seems as tho a lot of the team have started playing other games recently (even my brother hasn't been on tf2 that much recently) so I think disbanding the current team, and leaving the idea open for someone with more time may be worth doing. If anyone is willing to take the reins and keep the team going then by all means, just give us a shout if any info is needed to aid with this

I apologise to the team for not being able to pursue this as much as I would have hoped, the community is full of good players so I'm sure we could get a team going if not for the Cup, then at least for the Ladder

I cannot belive the HH will not have a team in this.

All that is required is for one or more people in the team to take responsibility and make sure that the few simple things that need doing, get done.

Depending on how far you want the team to go, leading one isn't much of a time consuming task.

If you want to just survive through official matches and get participant medals, managing your team won't take more than a few hours per week.

You can manipulate the team roster as much as you see fit after signing up. Just make sure someone signs it up!

I'd take up the mantle but I am already leading a team of my own.

well. i'm quite disappointed how this went. I didn't check this topic for a while and only got notice of the disaster when it was too late. An earlier PM or email would've been the very least one could have expected.

It's a pity that there won't be a team promoting the HH-community and most of the regs scooted and got there own team going.

I'll be in Hong Kong for a few month starting with the end of september so I wouldn't have been of much help with this.

Why is this not the HH team then? Seeing as you will be using a HH TF2 server and HH mumble. Seems slightly odd not to do so.

Well it started out as just a team where I'd have me and a few other people that I knew in the team, then the rest of the team would be filled by random internet people. It was at that point that Patch suggested we call it the 'Affable Ponies'. Over time more and more HH people joined and the official HH highlander team collapsed, but I didn't have the heart to change the name as it would be a grave insult to Mister Patch, who did come up with a very good name after all. Also I am worried that if it becomes an official HH team I would lose creative control over the team's brand. However, Patch has just suggested that we could make a subtitle in small lettering saying 'Basically the HH Highlander team, but we aren't'
