Some of you might remember that we did this a couple years ago, but I'll remind you of the rules.

Red are Survivors, Blue are Zombies. We start out with only a couple of people on Blue, who are restricted to melee weapons, while everyone else is on Red, fending them off with weaponry. Once a survivor is killed, they become a zombie and must switch to the Blue team. The last survivor left wins.

Rules for the zombie team:

• All classes may be played.
• Mainly melee only, apart from certain items: Bonk, Crit a Cola, Sandman's baseball, Airblast, Chargin' Targe, Sandvich, Dalokahs bar, Dispenser, Teleporters, Jarate, Cloak, Cloak n Dagger, Dead Ringer, and the disguise PDA. Basically anything that's not a conventional weapon or is used mainly in melee.
• Health kits, ammo kits, and resupply cabinets may be used.
• May change class at any point.

Rules for the survivors:

• No health kits, ammo kits, dispensers, sandviches, or resupply cabinets. Once a zombie has taken off a chunk of your health, that chunk is gone forever.
• You may not enter a spawn room once the game has begun.
• Restricted classes are scout and medic, due to the scout's speed and the medic's ability to regenerate health.
• Certain weapons have been restricted to give the zombie team a fair chance. They are: the rocket launcher, the stickybomb launcher, both miniguns, sentry guns and dispensers. Ammo on the remaining weapons may not be replaced by ammokits.
• Once you are killed, you become a zombie and move to the Blue team.
• No camping the enemy spawn.

Class limits are 1 for each class on both teams.

It'll be on Server 5 (Gerald) Tuesday at 8pm. Sign up below after you've read the rules and state whether you'd like to start as either a survivor or zombie. We'll probably be playing a couple other games afterwards as well, and I'd be interested in hearing your ideas for gamemodes we can play if you've got any.

May be it would be usefull to use the steam group announcement/notification system to tell people when it starts, just to make sure people don't forget to be there?

Or even, for that matter, to tell people it's happening. If someone throws it up this evening when quite a few people are on it may raise awareness and get more signups. Perhaps it's worth it for Ladies Night for Thursday as well?

I can put it on the calendar for you if you want, that way it appears in the chatbox on the servers (you could too possibly but I'm not sure if regs have the privileges to do this)

I guess it's up to Sam, since it's his event, but in the interests of getting it off the ground my vote is to do it. I see no harm in it.
