Unless you really want to make it comfortable for them, the american teams have to play on a EU server and by EU times.

So you can tell them to play 21 CET on Sunday on HH5 and they can't really negotiate.

To be fair, 2100h CET is 1100h-1400h in North America, depending on where exactly.

Then even easier, offer monday to friday same sort of time - rules out school/work people...

I thought it was meant to be about playing the game on a level playing field, rather deliberately being awkward in an attempt to get an unfair advantage.

I'd just like to say that none of the people who made those comments are part of the team. However I think there was only one comment there that was out of line there. Emb is absolutely right when he says that non-European teams have to play by European league rules. We're under no obligation to bend over backwards to give them a comfortable server and time, especially as there's only a small window of time in the evenings when we can all play.

I've tried to contact their team leaders but I've had no response. If we don't agree on a time then it will default to next Sunday 8pm GMT.

Well it was fun while it lasted. We did quite well considering we hadn't practiced in like two weeks.

It would been just A/D maps anyway, no great maps like badlands or granary.

Still...lost only by two seconds in upward

For a motley crew of pub players with varying skill levels we did well. The lack of practice and choice of maps went against us but in the end we turned out a decent performance and I have no regrets.
