Hi everyone,

This is the chance to get all your Halloween masks to craft the Saxton Hale mask or do whatever you like with them. You can also fight the horseman for the relevant achievements or just for fun if you like. This event if open to Regs / Clanners. If you're non of the aforementioned you can still join if I am sure that you won't bring trouble.

how it works:

Gifts start dropping with 10 players on the server. To minimize the time it takes to acquire a mask this event will be limited to 11 players + stand-by/ringers.

When you join the server you'll be assigned a number (1,2,3,4 ... you get the idea) and when we hit 10 people the one with the lowest number can collect the the gift.

Once you collected your gift you'll be assigned a new number putting you at the end of the queue.

If you join the server during the event you'll be assigned a number putting you at the bottom of the current queue.

If you are afk while its your turn, your mask will be collected and given to you once you return. I will manage this at the start of the event.*

Should you accidentally or intentionally collect the gift although you're not next in the queue you'll be asked to gift the mask you just received to the player it belongs to. No exchanging for a different mask or keeping it to yourself.

This worked very well in the previous round so I reckon it will run smoothly this time round as well.

Technically this system doesn't need much administration so it could go on for as long as there are ten/11 people on the server. I will manage the number of players for about 2 - 2.5h. After that it's up to you to keep the server filled. Please be sensible and only invite one at a time or you're likely to quickly increase the number of players in the rotation above 11.

Technical note: is it possible to turn of the ping kicker ? If so could someone explain how to do it or point me to the right option in the admin menu (or just do it for me ). I am currently in Hong Kong and get an average ping of 250 to european servers. For this event that wouldn't be an issue, unless i get kicked every 2 minutes by the ping kicker

I doubt you can just turn off the ping kicker plugin, it may be turned off if tourney mode is on, i'm not sure though.

Yeah, the ping thing would be good for me aswell, as i'm currently attacked by my uncle's family using my internet extremely, thus raising my ping as well. I have just under 110 ping usually, but nowadays it can rise into 180~, kicking me.

I likely won't be able to attend at 4.30, my birthday's tomorrow sign me up for the next one, if there is one. If i'm on at 6 i'll be able to carry on the adminstratering if Mike leaves.

Tourney mode should stop the ping checker but I've no idea if tourney mode will allow the gift spawning and such to work, just have to wait and see I guess =/
