1) Nope! 2) Put on "JOHNNY RIVERS - Secret Agent Man" and proceed to try and find out more about his background as well as whom he usually hangs out with. 3) On people that seems to gain much popularity. 4) I point out the fact that I rarely leave my house and that I wouldn't have time to write my stories if I went around smothering people.
5) Because my writing profession compels me to write, not to scum!
Why vote no lynch? We've got plenty more townies if we take one out by accident, and if we do something more provocative then maybe the mafia scum will lose some subtlety.
- During each night a townie will probably die, medic has only a 4% chance to protect the right person - If the serial killer chooses a random victim (very likely), then there is a 66% chance the 2nd victim will also be a townie
So every day we vote No Lynch, the balance will move in the mafia's favor. On the other hand, accidentally lynching a townie would be even more dramatic. But I think that's a risk we should take. The worst decision we can make is to not make a decision at all. Vote Daystar
There is only 1/3 chance that we lynch mafia scum if we vote randomly, I'd rather not go with the "We got lots of spare people anyway..." attitude...

With 26 players it takes 14 to lynch, 13 to no-lynch.
gronon and Ozku, please bold your votes.
To those who are voting no-lynch because there's not enough information, remember you don't have to vote at all yet. The first Day isn't over until you get a majority vote and there's still plenty of arguing to be had.

I merely agreed with Daystar that the "No Lynch" option wasn't in the town's favour. But I'm not saying we should vote randomly. On the contrary, I voted Daystar just because he seems to use this as a justification for random votes. Based on the votes cast so far, and the explanations given, I think we have obtained quite a lot of useful information already, don't you think ?
1) played it in real life. 2) Reveal to the townies! 3) Anybody i could. 4) Vote to kill anyone who calls me scum! 5) They won't let under 18's in the mafia.
VOTE BEDIZEN

Re: [MAFIA] Day One
1) Nope, never. 2) Rally the good people of hampshireville! 3) Go stab happy. Let the other players confuse themselves by trying to join the dots to something that has no logic. People look for stories, even when there isn't one. 4) Flail uselessly at my accusers. 5) Before me, this town's library was a disgrace. I will do anything to protect the library and increase borrowing rates. If that means taking on the mob, then so be it.

Straight Flush is the only one who hasn't posted in the 24 hours this thread has been open. Where could he be?

Maybe he is doing Mafia-Stuff?

7!/(26*24*22*20*18*16*14)= 4.55273893 × 10^-6 = 0.00000455273893 = 0.000455273893% chance of getting this completely right and killing off the mafia by random chance in the first 7 non mafia killings (lynchings/serial killer victims) assuming the medic fails every time.
On the flip side the chance of killing a townie by random chance in the first 7 (again assuming no medic protection and that the mafia always kill a townie) is (19*17*15*13*11*9*7)/(26*24*22*20*18*16*14) = 0.0394287109 = around a 4% chance (which is also almost a complete loss for us since once the townie number < mafia scum we lose).
Put it simply we need more than random guessing to win this thing, we need some kind of reason/evidence for lynching to skew the odds in our favour. Which is why its exceedingly important to notice patterns and odd behaviour
The chance isnt huge of this happening and us "lynching ourselves a loss" (~96:4 against that), but it is something to bear in mind.
