Post Spawn Jumping
After playing some competitive matches it seems that not everyone is aware of this, and since i'm not sure who knows and who doesn't I thought I'd make a forum post.

Everyone knows that when inside your spawn you can change class instantly (rather than having to suicide and spawn as a different class like how it worked in tfc). However imagine the scenario where your on cp_well, the enemy team has just captured the second(fourth) control point and has you trapped inside the adjacent spawn. It would seem like theres no hope and as soon as you walk outside you'll most likely get blasted by some stickys; however if you change class after the point has been captured you will respawn at the main respply behind the last cp.

This also works when spawning at forward resupplys. For instance if your team has just captured the middle point on granary and your inside the main spawn, changing class at this point will move you to the forward spawn located near cp2.

Alot of people are probably already aware of this, however its so useful in competitive matches that I thought I'd make sure everyone knows. Also if you cant change class very quickly this may help:

bind "KP_END" "join_class scout"
bind "KP_DOWNARROW" "join_class soldier"
bind "KP_PGDN" "join_class pyro"
bind "KP_LEFTARROW" "join_class demoman"
bind "KP_5" "join_class heavyweapons"
bind "KP_RIGHTARROW" "join_class engineer"
bind "KP_HOME" "join_class medic"
bind "KP_UPARROW" "join_class sniper"
bind "KP_PGUP" "join_class spy"

If you add this to your config.cfg file then pressing 2 (for example) on the keypad will change your class to soldier. If your unsure about configs, i.e. have no idea what your config.cfg file is, then find me on irc and I'll go through it.

Enjoy {FT}
