I would only see this work if there was a base hp instead of a random number and number of players
I'm unable to understand what you are saying as you've not really explained yourself. I can tell you that randomness doesn't play any part in the generation of a HP value for a Boss, in both this modification and the original FF2 code. It's hard to tell, but it also seems you are making assumptions or misunderstanding how HP scales in relation to the number of players fighting the boss.
There seems to be problems with some of the bosses where they show incorrect counts of wins and losses on-screen (like it's been shown to reset the counter on-screen while the chat still remains the same) which also calculates the health modification incorrectly.
Working on a function that makes adjustments to Boss stats based on global historical data, i.e. what is contained in the players stats database such as results from round, including wins, losses, amount of remaining health on win, length of round etc.
This function gets applied in the absence of specific player data, i.e if a player hasn't played a Boss before or less than certain number of times.
There is another function that makes adjustments to Boss stats based on individual player stats from previous times that they have played that Boss.
So when you see 'Personal Stats Applied', that means it's using your stats relating to the Boss that you are about to play as.
When you see 'Global Stats Applied', that means it's using all the data relating to that Boss.
If you haven't played a Boss very much (less than 10 times) then Global Stats are used, once you have played a Boss 10 times, then Personal Stats are used.
I.E. arthur123 has played Creeper 10 times and have won 10 times and lost 0 times, so the modifier is based on that.
So when someone first starts out playing as Boss, then they begin by playing using the average statistics for the average player ability for that Boss, then once there is enough personal data, then that person gets to play the Boss with stats that are based on their own ability.
There's a way to see how manyti mes you won and how many time you lost with a boss? example:
/ff2stats--->aatrox--->999 wins/0 losses

Never seen one... except at the round begining! It could be interesting! At least showing stats of the specific hale you're choosing it by !ff2boss... Maybe your personal and global stats!
It can at least make the people to see their skill, beforehand the maps or the round begin! (by my side, i could my spend time watching/checking stats when i'm dead, feeling the time less wasted in waiting for nothing that the round ends)
For personal stats, even with really huge handicaps, i'm still managing to do it easily!
Here a boss i overused (it's un-nerfed the 5K rage, it's 2.5/3K now):
You just need to revise "The Art of War" like: "Always choose your battles and battlefields" "Divide and Conquer"
