Post Re: Health Modification Plugin
Can the amount of health that has been decreased by the amount of wins be limited because I go a boss like Applejack and I get like -7k and this is sometimes unbeatable by a person like me. I don't find it kinda interesting to play bosses like that as this changes the way to play a boss.

Edit: It's like a punishment for people playing a boss they really like but gets uninteresting.

The prob could be how much it will get going...

What is the threshold? Wait, there is any threshold?

That's because you're too focused on winning and getting the points, it makes things more challenging and IMO, more interesting and fun.

It's also a way to discourage players from picking OP bosses over and over again.
Let's take your case, you're a very good player, meaning you can win with almost any boss.
And yet you pick Applejack, a boss that is objectively overpowered, I rarely see it lose even in the hands of a less experienced player. That means you will pretty much never lose when you pick her. Try putting yourself in the other team's shoes, you're up against a good player who just picked an OP boss, you already know you will lose before the round started. Where's the fun in that?

I don't think there is considering we fought a 140K hp Gaben :P

Are you saying that it's more interesting to play as a Boss with the same challenge and win every time, rather than play as a Boss where the challenge increases each time you win?

Increasing the challenge in a situation where someone is always winning is not a punishment.

I think I mentioned earlier in this thread that there is a limit to the amount of health that is added or removed. It should never be altered by more than 50%.

When I have more time I will be making a change that makes more use of the record of the amount of remaining health when win as a Boss.

Thing is, I just wanted it to be limited. Think about if you have win so many times you have 5k health against 31 players. It's becoming a mess in future.
Edit: Nevermind what I typed as I got answer from frog while I was typing this.

Applejack is not really overpowered. The reason why people might think that is because she is a simple boss to play and does not require much knowledge to be played. She is actually a less powerful vagineer with less uberduration and health. The reason why it got so many wins is because people who picks by normal like Me, Sky Night and Spekkie are people who don't lose often.

Shouldn't be also based on how many rounds have you played?

I mean, 10 rounds played as X hale won't show how good I am with it, but will still remove/add some HP if it applies the personal stats.

I think that the result of you playing as a particular Boss 10 times, provides a valid starting point on which to base a dynamically adjusted handicap, for that Boss.

I don't know if anyone else had this, but I believe I played more than 10 times as Wheatley with random hale (random loves giving me Wheatley).

I won't say a thing when I pick my hale, I enjoy being Abe. But when random gives me the same one almost all the time, it will count to my personal stats too and it will apply them as if I picked it.

Eh? How does that matter? What difference does it make if you picked Boss X yourself, or if you ended up playing Boss X because you didn't set a preference. The end result is the same, you play a round as Boss X.

What I try to say is that if I play a boss (picking it or not), it will count to my personal stats. And with random, sometimes it will apply them. I didn't actually pick him, so I should get the global stats and not my personal ones.

I get X hale from random, I didn't mean to pick him. It shouldn't apply my personal stats for the HP. That way, people that played more on the server and won a lot won't be able to play because all their hales will have 50% HP removed from all of them.

Maybe getting personal stats to apply only when you pick a boss and global stats when it's random. That way people will play more hales often and not only the overpowered ones.
