Classes Slots
Talking about demomans... I think we should make some review of actual slot available...
For now on (with above 15 players, to 30), Here the maximum slots per classes (if i'm not wrong)
Engi 4 Medic 6 Soldier (no limit) Demo (no limit) Heavy 4 Spy 3 Pyro 3 Sniper 4 Scout 4
Lets talk a bit about that... Here my personal view:
Engi: (4) It's just fine this way... 4 to deal with, as hale is difficult, but, when there is 4, it's when there is max players... so you have the health to deal with them... I know there is stage de get 1 more engi according to the number of players... So that's pretty fine!
Medic: (6 -> 4/5) 6 is way to much at the same time... But that doesn't happen so much to see as much medics at the same time... People tend to not choose this class after all... But a limit to 4 or 5 should be fine from an either way!
Soldier: (Unlimited -> 6) Rocket jump or Rocket Knockback (with laser control) is way to much annoying when there is someting like 10 soldier in game... The fact there is no limit in soldier slots is a mistake by itself! 6 max soldier slots could be restricting a bit... but it look like fair!
Demoman: (Unlimited -> 6) As the same for soldier, no limit in slots... It's a mistake! The fact when there is 10 demoman ganging a hale... most hale can't kill in one hit a demoman (even worst with medic buff), a hit one just need to retreat, the others blocking the way and covering him with knockback from everywhere! That really doesn't feel right! So as well... 6 max demoman slots could be restricting a bit... but it looks like fair!
Heavy: (4 -> 5/6) I never seen the limit... but because they are easy target and not so much taken... increazing the slot of heavies will not change so much the stuff... They are really annoying with AMP Field or Ubbering medic... but both of them are avoidable for most of hales and with maps with one jump... so increasing by one or two should be fine!
Spy: (3) Spies are already powerfull with backstabs, it's already difficult to deal and look after 3 ones... it will be unballanced to increase their number... As well, less spy should not be a good stuff... cause, i think a hale should be a least in fear of backstab, even he see 1 or 2 spy in front of him as decoys! So, it's fine by the way it's now i think!
Pyro: (3 -> 4) For pyro, i've got a bit dilemma... airblast is too powerfull sometime... It could need a nerf for consumption of amo or cooldown... cause spamming airblast pyro is way too much overpowered...But seeing a bit more casual battling ones... like with phlog... i don't mind see one or two more... But with the pyro actual airblast... only one more maybe (or none)!
Sniper: (4) Snipers are camping nearly all the time on same spots... They are already a good threat enough at this point on some maps... and way less on some maps... So it's fine this way i think!
Scout: (4) They already one of the most difficult class to catch for some hale... No way to increase their number from my point of view... and 4 is already so much... so fine this way!
With these limited slots changes, we have around 40 Slots available (for the lowest setup), so it's possible even with max players... We can even not increase the one i asked, and still have enough with choices...
If you want to talk or have others opinion, i'm opened! It's not like these change a "must to do", it just my point of view!
