Maps Rating and Thead Category for FF2
Ok... Let's talk about maps.
Here just to say. The only Available Maps stats (feedback) for FF2 are:
Map Log (In TF2 thumb index):
And casual map stats (From FF2 thumb index):
We miss the map Rating like for TF2:
I'd be really gratefull if a vote rating system like that could be installed on FF2 (Cheers Frog ^^)
Spoiler Alert:
Cause here it's a bit thin is we compare:
I'm not sure that will be enough for maps feedback with FF2, but it will certainly help to track down problematic maps!
In fact, maps can be good in rating, but not good at all for hales... The ratings will not show it!
So... Here the purpose of my post. We need players feedback, it will be more accurate and could be discussed. A stat system could do the work (Scoreboarding Ratio of Win/Loss for every map), but it will be again a pain in the ass (for you Frog)... When we can actually just dicuss on the forum about this or that map, on specific Thread post and category (like for hales). We had lost our way many time on general topics, talking about maps, and it will be really horrible to overflow the main FF2 Forum with specifics map Threads!
So, yeah, i'm asking... Could it be possible to make another category here for maps?
I'd be really grateful and it would help a lot to see clearly, help the admin for no building zones as example! (Cheers Frog ^^)
By the way Frog, Thanks for all your hard work these past months!
The map rating system has been retired. It used to be used to feed data into the map voting system that we used to use. What you see is historical data.
IMO FF2 is a fun mode, and deep analysis is not really necessary.
If you want to start a thread that discusses issues with FF2 maps in general, then go ahead, but I don't feel that we need a whole new sub-forum with a thread for every map, as there is very little discussion about FF2 maps in general.

If you said so... I have more than 10 maps in mind to have serious talk about it, would it be constructive to overflow the main FF2 forum with 10 maps posts?
Spoiler Alert:
Arena Grid_Walls Really need to be discussed for a remove possibility!
Nova_Prospeckt Too unfair for most of hales, as for Arena Grid_Walls
koth_photofinish_b9 Spawn prob with invisible wall for Hale but not mercenary, High unfair places, stuck in wall if you're trained as hale.
Arena_WoW Bashing map and too small... need a discuss!
ctf_vikings_final A lot of probs with this map... (Water abuses, canons, look-out post impossible to reach...) It really need a discuss about it.
VSH Loader Capping rate prob (2 seconds for a scout)
vsh_island_b1 Water Abuse... people maybe want to talk about it!
arena_hyrulecastle No metal nor Health Pack, Roof and off map abuse, so impossible spots
vsh_reservoir_v2 TP Kill abuse, Water abuse can be discuss.
arena_towertop_final HHH auto kill if you fall in the pit cause he often stay on your spawn, your Respawn point!
arena_suijin_rc2 Out of map abuse spots (background islands on the pit side)
A lot of people vote random while playing, or the 1st one, just cause there're too busy to play when the vote occur, blocking their view!
Ok, so by your own reasoning, if people are too lazy, busy, stupid to vote for a map that they want to play next, then they are going to do exactly the same thing when the map rating window appears.
Move on Llamara, it isn't happening.
End of story.
