FF2 server reg status and perks are now automatically assigned to anyone that has clocked up more than 12 hours on the server.

This means you don't have to sign up as a reg, if you are only interested in the FF2 server.

Why 12 hours?

That seems like a little few, especially for the admin privileges. Is there some way of detecting abuse, or possible barring users from gaining admin?

Previously, anyone could sign up for FF2 perks/reg status, on this forum, without even having played on, or shown any commitment to, the server.

12 hours is a reasonable amount of time to have played on the server, and is significant enough to prevent drive-by troublemakers.

If any issues arise from this change, then those involved will be dealt with. However, can you recall anyone having had reg status removed prior to this change? Probably not.

Sounds like a pretty good system. I guess people who'd like the perks faster would still come and sign up on the forums and the people who don't really care about the community side could just wait it out.

Surprised this wasn't implemented earlier.
