This is getting stupid now. Can we please out of everything else just have the spy's invisible watch and dead ringer fixed?

The issue is that the invis watch doesn't give damage resistance anymore but rather insane speed because of the updated DR effect and the DR itself is broken - as in the spy dies in one hit from the boss while it is active.

It would be great to have the invis watch and the DR reverted to their normal behaviors prior to the gun mettle update.

Sure I'm impatient but it's been 6 months since the Gun Mettle was released and nothing has changed...

This only requires pasting 11 lines to the server and it's fixed again.

Spies originally called "Sanic Spies" for the moment.

Spies are very broken right now so it's important to get fixed.

Indeed. Two major fixes required: Spies and raged scare speed. Im sure both dont require too much of a change to fix them.

What exactly is the fix? I now have some access to modify stuff but this is mostly over my head.

If you give me specifics I can maybe get something sorted.

There's different solutions for fixing spies, however one involves in recompiling FF2 which idk if frog wants.

But I could suggest trying to change the server convars in cfg/server.cfg or wherever it's handled:
tf_feign_death_activate_damage_scale 0.5
tf_feign_death_damage_scale 0.35
tf_feign_death_duration 3.0
tf_feign_death_speed_duration 3.0
tf_stealth_damage_reduction 0.8

BTW, these convars require sv_cheats to be set to 1 to edit them

Some of them were already set to those values. This is what is now in the config for tf_feign_death

tf_dropped_weapon_lifetime 0.0
tf_feign_death_activate_damage_scale 0.5
tf_feign_death_damage_scale 0.35
tf_feign_death_duration 3.0
tf_feign_death_speed_duration 3.0
tf_stealth_damage_reduction 0.8

I think it activates on map change. And no I cannot recompile :)

thanks, but adding the convars didn't fix the server. still same as before.

I remember when I added these to thunder's server, the server's response was that the command was unknown...

Huh, well there's no way then without editing the source or writing another probably dirty plugin to handle the conditions. I'm sure the cvars did exist though.
