Right so I'm writing this post about a command added to the H|H servers fairly recently.
it's a command that I've been heavily affected by, !votegag (playername), allows players to mute both mic aswell as typing from a player, if spammed, it can occur to the "gagged" player on and off over a greater extension of time (this happened to me) I feel, along with others, that this command is greatly overpowered for players to use at will without any consequences. At the very least I would hope that the command should be limited to either H|H regs or even only to admins.
While I understand the reason of the command being there, i think its way to accessable.
There's already been banthreats and such to people that spam this command and no such action has taken place yet while their spamming persists.

Hopefully this will reach someone willing to work on the command

I can vouch for this, as there has been someone going onto servers with the command being accessible (Mainly the HH FF2 server) and spamming the command constantly to anyone. Even going as far as muting people who didnt even speak. I also feel the command should be restriced, at least from the single user of said command, as I never see any reason to use it.

Yeah, I have to agree. It's becoming a problem and I'd hate to see people discouraged from playing on the servers as a result of this.

There is only one person that deals with the HH4 server and that is frog. He is away at present, but I am sure he will sort whatever issue this is on his return.

im guessing it would be out of anyones say to step in and put it on a hold until frog comes back, i mean afterall it's still part of the HH community isnt it? :S

I do not have HH4 server access to alter anything. Only frog knows how HH4 is currently configured.

Limiting the command only to regs is not that bad of an idea actually seeing as we've now got a hefty amount of regs solely playing on the FF server. This is all a bit experimental still I believe as we're still trying to do something about the lack of admins on the server.

Im also gagged, not sure who voted for it etc. Yep it sucks, its been abused ALOT on FreakFortress Server.
